How to Carve Wood in Adobe Photoshop

Photoshop Effects
In today’s Photoshop tutorial, we’re going to be creating a wood text effect using a simple texture, Layer Styles, Adjustment Layers, and blending methods. This tutorial takes advantage of Blend If, which I covered in my Graffiti Text Effect tutorial. Make sure to check out my other Photoshop tutorials. Links below!

Tools used in this tutorial:

The Type Tool: Click and type! If you’ve ever used a word processing application, you already know how it works! Up on the Options Bar, you can change your typeface, font size, style, color, and so on!

Layer Styles: If you’re looking to add effects to your layers, you’ll likely want to use Layer Styles. Whether it’s an outer glow, a few shadows, or a bevel to give it depth, the possibilities are endless!
